PK Hope is Alive is coordinating our Second Saturday Nordic Walk with Doctor Milan Sheth for a monthly "Walk with a Doc". Dr. Sheth is an interventional cardiologist at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Walking is great exercise for anyone - especial for people with Parkinson's. And getting outside with friends makes it even better. Dr. Sheth has seen first-hand the benefits of walking and companionship. For more information on Dr. Sheth and the inspiration for Walk with a Doc, click HERE.
Walk-with-a-Doc is free and open to the public. It will occur the second Saturday of every month, weather permitting at Melton Lake Park (697 Melton Lake Drive Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830) at the Pavilion by the swings.
To RSVP or to be added to the email list for upcoming event topics and scheduling notifications, please call (865) 835-4662.
The Nordic Pole Cats and PK Hope is Alive have joined up with Walk with a Doc to make it NORDIC Walk with a Doc. We would love everyone to join us. If you have never Nordic Walked, we have some poles you can borrow and experts to help you learn.
Email Perle Sorah at nordicwalkingtenn@comcast.net to be added to the Pole Cats mailing list. He will keep you up-to-date on all future walks and Nordic Walking classes.
We have meetings every 3rd Tuesday at 11:30 until 1:00 Eastern.
