Nordic walking was originally invented as a way to train for cross country skiing when there was no snow. But, now everyone is catching on to its benefits - especially people with Parkinson's. Nordic walking can improve your endurance, cardio vascular system, posture, strength and gait. Perfect for fighting Parkinson's.
Nordic walking is like "four wheel drive walking" and uses 90% of the bodies muscles.
The Pole Cats are our local Nordic Walking club lead by one of our own members.
